If you are following our web page you probably have noticed that there is not a CAN meeting posted again this month. We are still encouraging all Churchill Area Neighbors to take part in the Envision Eugene Public Workshop #3
Looking forward to seeing everyone there tonight at 6 pm.
See what you CAN do. You will be amazed what we CAN do together.
Goals:
1) Educate the general public about the Envision Eugene process
2) Engage the public in a discussion that builds on what we learned at the first two workshops about approaches to using land more efficiently, with the following outcomes:
* Collaborative learning amongst participants- the public gets informed on refined approaches to managing growth, and has the opportunity to review preliminary information on the implications of each of them and provide feedback to staff.
* Staff gain insights into how to structure the next steps.

7:00 Discussion Stations – Proposed Approaches to Growth (Refined & Re-ordered) (90 minutes)
Each person self selects “stations” to visit to ask questions and learn more detail about proposed approaches. Information presented will include:
· a description what the approach would get us on the ground
· potential geographic applicability, depicted on a map
· Potential Effect on Reducing Our Land Needs (expressed as a range of housing units or employment acres gained) for approaches for which we have that information
· What We’ve Heard - proposed considerations to make the strategy successful
· Implementation Issues
People will be asked to consider the information presented and give feedback on implementing the approach as proposed. Forms will be provided to allow people to list their comments and ideas, including additional considerations that they feel are critical to successful implementation.
