Spencer Butte Summit Trail Plan
Hike to the top of the Butte this coming Saturday! Eugene Parks and Open Space staff will be on site to answer questions,
discuss trail and habitat issues and review potential options for addressing serious problems on the rocky outcrop atop the Butte.
Staff are currently developing a summit trail plan for Spencer Butte. Plan goals include improving public safety and
protecting a rare habitat type from increasingly heavy recreational impacts.
Date: Saturday, October 23th, 9:00 a.m. to Noon
Location: Start at the main Spencer Butte Parking Lot, follow signs to summit.
Agenda: Staff will be stationed at summit to discuss habitat and trail issues, answer questions, and take comments.
