Nov 7 2007 - 9:00pm
In the last several years a group of local scientists have been making some fascinating discoveries about the origin of the unique soil found in the southern Willamette Valley. It is this soil that makes the West Eugene Wetlands habitat what it is today. Join Karin Baitis, BLM Soil Scientist, and Liz Myers, WREN educator, as they present the newest theory that relates the wetlands to a very famous local Oregon landmark. Meet at the West Eugene Wetlands Yurt at 7 p.m. Suggested donation $2 member and $4 non-member. Contact Holly McRae at hmcrae@wewetlands.org or 683-6494 for more information.
